Chromesthesia: Hearing Colors

This learning cycle, I did an independent project surrounding Chromesthesia. According to medicine.net, "Chromesthesia is a type of synesthesia in which which a non-visual stimulus causes the individual to perceive color. For my project, I made a video in which I had students paint the notes that they heard in Schoenberg's String Quartet No. 2 Op 1, and ask them a few questions about their biological family and certain traits that they may or may not have.

Silence is Golden

One of my D-Labs this learning cycle was a short film class, where students had three weeks to write, cast, direct/produce, shoot, and edit a short film.  My team and I decided to create a short film about a hopeless romantic chasing after a deaf girl. Our film was called Silence is Golden.

Creative Writing

Another D-Lab I did this learning cycle was a creative writing class, where I had a month to write a period piece musical about feminists in 1888, as well as the creation of the International Council of Women. My show was not complete by the end of the D-Lab, but I am continuing it as my independent project for learning cycle 3.
